Delete your account and data

Your account is yours. You delete it yourself, immediately, with no request to send and no approval to wait for.

The steps

Three steps, and that is it:

  1. Open KLAKS — the app or the website — and sign in with your Google account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Press "Delete my account" and confirm. The account is gone that instant, and it cannot be undone.

You do not need the app installed — open klaksapp.com in any browser and the steps are identical.

What is erased immediately

Your email and your name, your items, your stickers and their codes, the devices registered for your notifications, and any sharing invites to or from you — and if your older account was opened with a phone number, that too. All of it is removed from the database for good — not flagged as "deleted" and quietly kept.

What stays after you delete

If you delete your account, your details, items and stickers are erased immediately. Past alerts stay behind as bare numbers — detached and anonymized, with nothing left that leads back to you. The scanner's own details are not yours to erase, so they do not go with your account and keep their own clock: a number or a name they left disappears from the alert after 30 days, or the moment you delete your account, and our admin record of them — which keeps the name if they wrote one — stays 180 days, or up to two years where there is a report or a ban.

Can't get into your account?

If you lost the Google account you signed up with and cannot get in, email us from any address and we will delete the account for you. Include the email the account was registered with so we can find it.
